Parents, Staff, Students, Community:
Fort Thomas Unified School District wants to acknowledge the new mask mandate that was just approved during the San Carlos Apache Tribe Council Meeting today, August 3, 2021. Fort Thomas Unified School District is in a unique position as we serve students that reside on and off tribal lands. We are working to ensure all students are able to access free and appropriate education that is safe and secure during this time.
Due to the new mask mandate on the San Carlos Tribe lands, all students and employees will comply with the mask mandate while on tribal lands. This includes travel to and from school. However, due state law, once a student or employee is off tribal lands, masks will be recommended, but cannot be mandatory.
Please keep in mind, anyone student or employee that chooses to wear a mask no matter where they are, is welcome and encouraged to do so.
Parent/Guardians:
We are offering another evening of help registering your child for school. All secretaries will be out at Mount Turnbull Academy, Monday, August 2, 4:30 – 6:30 pm.
Students need to be registered by Tuesday, August 3 to start school Wednesday, August 4. You can still come in to register your child for school, however they cannot start school until registration is complete.
The rest of this week, July 27-29, secretaries are at each school during the day to help you complete all registration forms or to access your PowerSchool Parent Portal, Monday – Thursday 8:00 – 3:00 pm. Computers are available at the school sites for your use. Come on in for help.
